On Monday 3rd June we will be remembering Lance Corporal Leonard Holmes who died 100 years ago on that date at the age of just 19. We shall be holding one of our usual services of remembrance in the church at 11:00 a.m. on that day preceded by the tolling of a bell at 10:55 a.m. Please come along to remember Leonard on the 100th anniversary of his death. Leonard is the last soldier for whom we know the date of death. There are a small number of men recorded on our memorial for whom we do not have dates of death, these will be remembered at a similar service on Friday 28th June the 100th anniversary of the signing of the peace treaty.
