Welcome to the website of St Peter and St Paul’s Parish Church, Eckington, Derbyshire. We hope you find the information you are looking for. With God’s help, we try to be a friendly church. We believe Jesus Christ is God and that He is a Loving God. We worship Him and pray to Him and try to serve Him in helping and caring for others where we can. We believe God hears every prayer and we pray for God’s blessing on you as you browse our website.
The active congregation at Eckington vary in age from very young to retired and our services reflect elements that satisfy all of this age range. But perhaps the best thing about our church is how we get on together. We are family, the family of God. Like all families, we sometimes fall out but in the main we get on well and share our experiences and much of our lives together. We are an Anglican church and follow the structure and services of the Anglican Communion. Our relaxed services are friendly regardless of whether they are formal or informal, we have both and also others in between.

Most Tuesdays we open the church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to visitors. All are welcome to come and look at probably the oldest building in Eckington, to sit for a while or say a prayer or merely have a short break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Light refreshments are also available. Why not come along and enjoy a friendly welcome from our volunteers?
