Bernard, a much loved and missed member of our church was also widely known locally as Head of Campus at Westfield School from 1975-93. In normal times many people would have attended his funeral last October. However, Covid-19 restrictions meant that only family and a few very close friends were able to be at that service.
Now that those restrictions have been lifted, just after the anniversary of his death, his family have arranged a memorial service on Saturday 18th September 2021 at noon.
However, Covid remains with us, so we will provide guidance for the regime in church for the service nearer the time. This will include, as far as is practical setting aside part of the church for those who would strongly prefer to sit in a socially distanced way. As far as possible, we would ask people to try to sit with people they know and meet regularly. There will also be a reception afterwards (where subject to the weather, there will be an option to be outside). The details for this will be advised later.
So that we can plan for this we need to know the likely size of attendance, so we would appreciate if those wishing to come and celebrate Bernard’s life with us would please complete the details below, including contact details in case of the unlikely event that we need to postpone at short notice.
The service will also be streamed on our YouTube channel. To view the service as it happens please click here. You will also be able to view the service in this way after the event.

Many thanks.
