Ordinary Time

Posted on

We are currently in the period in the church’s calendar known as Ordinary Time. Ordinary Time is the longest period in the church calendar, lasting 33 to 34 weeks. It covers the days of the liturgical year that do not belong to the major seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent, or Easter. The word “ordinary” comes from ordinal numbers, meaning the weeks are counted in order. So there is nothing ‘ordinary’ about our services during this season, in fact you may be surprised by some of the subjects covered. All are welcome on any Sunday, check our calendar if you wish first to see what services are on offer on any particular Sunday. You can of course if you prefer watch most of our services on YouTube as most are streamed.
