St. Peter & St. Paul, Eckington

Congratulations!

If you are just starting to think about a church wedding at St Peter & St Paul we want you to know that we’re with you every step of the way!

Marrying in church is personal, meaningful, spiritual and beautiful, just as you want it to be. We’re committed to working with you to make your special day a unique and memorable occasion, a service filled with love, faith and beauty.

Our commitment to you begins from your very first contact with us. We suggest you contact us sooner rather than later as there are some important initial legal and practical checks that need to be made like eligibility to marry (the law says that not everyone is allowed to marry at St Peter & St Paul) and church availability.

To make your service even more special we strongly recommend you worship with us on a Sunday, not just when your banns are being read but as often as you are able. This will help you feel more comfortable in the church space, it will help aid your understanding of the words you will say to one another and it will help build a great relationship between you and the minister who will take your service.

We care …. Before the day

Our prayer is that marriage is life-giving and life-long and so to give you the very best possible start we’ll invite you, together with other couples getting married around the same time as yourself, to a pre-marriage get together. Packed with loads of practical ideas and exercises to help your relationship grow as well as invaluable advice about the day itself which is guaranteed to give you food for thought and practical tools to help grow and sustain your relationship.

Our marriage preparation meeting isn’t ‘churchy’ or ‘preachy’.

We care …. On the day

On the day the church team will be on hand to help in every way to make your day go as smoothly as possible. We can provide church bells, a choir and even a priest! Why not ask about the possibility of using our church hall as a pre or post wedding reception venue?

We care …. After the day

A wedding lasts for just one day but a marriage lasts a lifetime. Unlike other wedding venues we’re committed to ‘after service’ service! You’re always welcome to get in touch should your relationship fall into difficulty in the future for free and confidential help and non-judgemental support and advice. Stay in contact with us and you will be welcome to come along to any of our services or other events.
